This is a virtual 8 week yoga stress relief tool kit where you will learn about your own body mechanics through breath work, a mindful flow of movement and restful poses. The series will focus on key areas of held tension: shoulders, back and hips. By the end of the session you will have the yoga tools to use to address your stress. Many students have reported sleeping better after the practice.
This is a great opportunity to begin a yoga practice or begin again. It also makes a great gift. Add your recipient's name on the form so I can send them the waiver and link.
This series is held through Zoom. Sign on at 7pm to socialize and catch up with your fellow yogis before class begins.
Props needed: a yoga mat, 2 yoga blocks, a yoga strap or long scarf, 3-4 blankets or pillows, optional chair or wall for support.
The classes are recorded and available to watch if you miss a class or would like to revisit the practice again. The recordings are available only to registered students so treat yourself to self care in Monday evening live classes and video access through the end of the session. No class will be held on Memorial Day, May 31st.

THE TIMES HAVE CHANGED AND SO HAS PRACTICE
During all the uncertainty of 2020 my yoga practice has changed. I have gravitated away from my faster vinyasa practice to a nurturing practice with more mindful attention to turning on my muscles and releasing stress. I have found that this has been a healing balm during all the uncertainty. Forever a student, I have been studying body mechanics in order to understand how to activate muscles and gain more flexibility. This is an all levels class with props and modifications provided so the practice meets you where you are. Understanding your own body mechanics will enable you to create your own stress relief toolkit. The series will include postures, meditations, breathing techniques and moments of reflection so you can experience what works for your physical, emotional and spiritual well being.
